Goose Hummock owners Jan, Diesel and Phil Howarth welcome you to the Goose Hummock Shops.
Capt. Phil Howarth and his wife Jan first visited Cape Cod and the Goose Hummock on their Honeymoon in 1994. Transfixed by the variety of fish to be caught, a long term plan to live here full time came to fruition in 2012 when he moved with his family. He and wife Jan bought the store later that year and have been working tirelessly ever since to continue growing the store from strength to strength. When not in the store, Phil can be found chasing all manner of species of fish on and around the Cape. Tuna are his particular favorite target whether it be battling giants from the gunnel or chasing smaller fish on topwater lures on light tackle.

Dan Jones grew up in western Massachusetts. As a child, he always had a strong passion for fishing, whether it was stream fishing for Trout in the Berkshires, Carp and Cat fishing on the Connecticut River, or ice fishing for Northern Pike in the winter, there was always some type of angling to do.

Ian Mac Partland
Ian MacPartland is the surf and freshwater lead at Goose Hummock. He fell in love with the beaches, back bays, and ponds that the Cape has to offer at a very young age, and it is because of his exploration of these areas that he has honed his fishing skills.
Aaron Nickerson
Aaron Nickerson is a multi-generational Cape Codder. Growing up in Cotuit, Aaron found a love for fishing at a young age. Whether it was targeting Trout in a local kettle pond or bluefish and stripers from the shore, Aaron has always found happiness by the water. Currently, Aaron’s favorite species to chase is False Albacore from his kayak.
Jake Howarth
Jake Howarth has been coming to Goose Hummock since he was a kid. He's been the outdoor center manager for 2 years now and is also a content creator for The Goose. Jake has a huge connection with the ocean as he used to be a commercial scallop and lobster fisherman while he was in college. As for his hobbies, he's a big lacrosse and gym fan and loves to go fishing at the Canyons.
Garret Wilde
Garret Wilde is a marine technician here at Goose Hummock as well as an avid outdoorsman. Garrett grew up off Cape and has been fishing for as long as he can remember. He recently picked up fly fishing and has spent the past couple of years fishing the rivers and ponds of the Cape and other states as well. When it comes to the saltwater side, Garret does a lot of kayak fishing for striped bass, bluefish, and black sea bass.
Liam Mc Carthy
Liam is a life long knife lover and collector . He has been a blade enthusiast since visiting hunting and fishing shops as a child . He has worked in the field of selling knives for over 15 years . Liam looks forward to bringing exciting new knives ,from some of the top brands such as benchmade, pro-tech, and boker to our store .
