Due to wind and weather, the days on the water have been spotty, but when we have been able to get out, there are fish still here.
Striped bass in large numbers were still around Race Point and Peaked Hill Bar area on Saturday and Sunday. They were hitting metal flutter jigs. Fish were in various sizes from below slot, slot, and above.
Bluefin Tuna on the bank has slowed some but some rec size fish are there. Still tons of mackerel for bait on the bank. Bluefin of all sizes have been caught at the sword on the jig and by trolling ballyhoo.
Only two more trips for this Captain and then we will start to break the boat down for a winter nap.
Dan Jones
Goose employee John Ebel took his granddaughter fishing Sunday and landed a beautiful smallmouth bass. Pond fishing has been fantastic. The trout stocking included some really nice fish this fall.
