Fall fishing on lower and outer Cape Cod is absolute " prime time" for anglers in the know. Some of the biggest Striped Bass and Bluefish of the year come off the Outer Beaches, Soundside beaches and Cape Cod Bay in the months of September, October and even November if the weather holds out.

For many, the fall migration evokes images of epic blitzes of bass and bluefish smashing hapless baitfish up against the beach where the fish will bite a bare hook if casted into the mix. While fall beach fishing can certainly be like that, many times the action can be a bit more subdued . This can require some finesse and correct lure selection can be critical.
