Today, Captain Eric Newhouse/ Bhookendcharters gives a report from yesterday's charter:

Yesterday 10/3/24 had the pleasure of 2 Sisters, Janet from St. Louis and Connie from Sarasota FL. They booked a trip for a half day Stripedbass trip. In their comments, stated they’d love to try and get a tuna fish. Night before I contacted them and asked if they’d truly like to try and catch a tuna? I explained that I had been out tuna fishing that day and the boat was  rigged to do so, and we can spend a few hrs trying to hook one up and go bass fishing afterwards. They said they’d love that. We launched at 0600 and the ride out to the bank to jig up some bait. It was awesome, with a beautiful sunrise. Upon reaching the bank, we hugged up some mackerel and proceeded to the backside of ptown and looked around till we found some good sign and put a couple of baits out. We seen some good life, but no love for the time we wished for a bite. We agreed enough on the tuna deal and proceeded to Peaked Hill Bar to look for some Bass. Found some in the deeper water and boy were they finicky, we vertically jigged with a few grabs but no commitments. Moved inshore some and found some fish on the bar that wanted to play, both with jigs and live bait… the ladies had a blast, with some fish up to 35”… it was a pleasure to get them out, to experience a little bit with the tuna and to catch some nice striped-bass. Thank you Connie and Janet, was a fun trip!….. tightlines
